About The Team
Ashley Kaufman
Founder and Program Leader
Hello and welcome! 🌿 I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the CEO and founder of How the Wildflowers Grow Learning Center, as well as your primary teacher, tutor, and photographer.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an MBA, I bring a strong foundation in child development, leadership, and program design to everything I create. My goal is to build a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment where kids can learn, explore, and grow — whether we’re in a class, on a field trip, at camp, or out capturing memories through photography.
I’m CPR, CPI, and First Aid Certified, with a specialization in mental‑healthcare strategies that support academic success and student performance.
Community-Centered Connection and Storytelling
With over 15 years of experience in schools—serving as a paraprofessional, mental‑health clinician, and Assistant Director—as well as a coach for multiple elementary‑age teams, I’ve had the joy of supporting countless children on their educational journey. My journey has been deeply rooted in community connection and the incredible support that surrounds us. I genuinely love engaging with our vibrant local community and helping families discover the many fun and meaningful resources available to them.
Youth Coaching & Mentorship
I’ve been coaching elementary‑age sports since high school, and it remains one of my greatest passions. I love teaching kids, building their confidence, and celebrating their growth. Supporting our youth—both on and off the field—is truly at the heart of the work I do.
Love for the Outdoors
I’m also passionate about the great outdoors and adventure. I strive to share that same sense of curiosity, exploration, and appreciation for nature with the children in our community, encouraging them to learn, play, and grow through hands‑on experiences.
Stories in Photos
I have a genuine love for photography and the way it helps me connect with people in our community. Whether I’m capturing everyday moments, community events, or the energy of a game, I’m always drawn to the little details that tell the real story — the quiet expressions, the in‑between moments, and the personality that shines through when people feel comfortable and seen. Candid photos are my favorite because they feel honest and personal, creating images that truly reflect who someone is. My goal is to highlight the heart of our community and preserve the moments that matter most.
Helping kiddos and families is truly my passion, and I can’t wait to welcome you into our vibrant community. Learning should be **engaging, supportive, and full of discovery**—and that’s exactly what we create here! 🌸 I’m so excited to meet you and begin this journey together!
Youth Support Team Assistants
We’re lucky to have an amazing support team who help keep our groups small and our learning experiences personal. Maranda Williams and Sam Kaufman regularly support our larger classes, ensuring we maintain a low adult‑to‑child ratio and a welcoming, well‑supported environment for every learner. All of our supports bring extensive experience working with children and a genuine passion for helping them grow. They are caring, capable, and fully background‑checked, ensuring a safe, supportive, and positive environment for every child in our programs.
✨ Come be part of an environment that nurtures young minds, celebrates every season, and turns ordinary moments into unforgettable adventures.
